This is a traditional cottage situated in the beautiful Northumberland National Park.
Kirknewton is a peaceful village approximately 6 miles West of Wooler and 6 miles south of the Scottish Border. Historically, it was the centre of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Northumbria and the site of the Ad Gefrin Royal Palace is marked nearby. The present Church is St Gregory the Great in which lies a sculpture of
the Adoration of the Magi
in which the Magi appear to be wearing Kilts!

Kirknewton is set amidst outstanding countryside which
is breathtakingly beautiful. It is nestled within the Cheviot Hill range and is the start of the Iron Age Hill Fort walk
There are many recognised walks nearby such as
St Cuthberts Way that will keep
any dedicated walker happy!
